At Avalanche Studios Group, we believe that everyone has a role to play and can contribute to the games we create. We listen
We value transparency and believe that great ideas can come from anyone. We want our objectives, strategies, and goals to be visible to you and everyone else, and have you tell us what you think of them. We also want all our employees to share their hopes, motivations, and - let's not pretend they don't exist - frustrations with us.
We conduct weekly surveys to find out what we're doing well and what needs to improve. Our producers are also known to schedule one-on-one meetings with every member on their team. In short, every voice matters regardless of your title, background, or how long you have been with us. If you say something, we listen.
Sound work-life balance
Nothing is more important than our employees, so we work hard to ensure their health and happiness. We believe in a sound work-life balance and go to great lengths to protect this often championed but rarely realized concept. Overtime is considered a failure. As such, it's the exception, not the norm. We simply value a sustainable team higher than crunch.
In any largely sedentary industry, health initiatives are important. We offer massages and meditation during work hours, along with a variety of sport activities like soccer, basketball, yoga, badminton, and running. Our studios are stocked with healthy eating options, hot and cold drinks and fresh fruit. We have morning fikas, after-works and regular events such as Halloween pumpkin carving competitions, and movie and board game nights. Most of the time we celebrate for a reason, but sometimes... Just 'cause.
